3300/20-01-01-01-01-02  Improved key phasor module

The  Enhanced Keyphasor Module is a half-height, two-channel module used toprovide Keyphasor signals to the monitor module in the 3500 rack. The module receives input signals from the from proximity probes or magnetic sensors and converts the signals to a digital key-related cabinet +5 packet minus block volume signal that indicates the keyphasor volume when the keyphasor markings on the shaft are in line with the keyphasor sensor. The 3500 Mechanical Protection System can accept up to four Keyphasor signals for normal configurations and up to eight Keyphasor signals in the pairec configuration signals.

Keyed phase signals are pulses from rotating shafts or gears at one time or multiple events per revolution and are used to provide accurate timing measurements. This allows the 3500 Monitoring Module and external diagnostic equipment to measure shaft speed and vector parameters such as Ix amplitude and phase.

The Enhanced Keyphasor Module is an improved module for the 3500 system. It provides extended Keyphaspr signal processing capabilities compared to the previous design, while maintaining full backward compatibility in form, fit and function with existing Keyphasor modules for use in legacy systems. The Keyphasor module PWA125792-01 was completely replaced by the updated 149369-01 module

When a system’s Keyphasor inputs require Triple Mode Redundancy (TMR) applications, the 3500 system should use two Keyphasor modules. In this configuration, the modules operate in parallel to provide primary and secondary Keyphasor signals to other modules in the rack.
