PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) module basic information
Make and Model: Allen-Bradley 1746-BAS
Purpose: For SLC 500 system, as a basic language module, to achieve machine-level data collection and integration.
Application: Widely used in power plants, chemical plants, steel plants and CNC machinery, metallurgy, oil and gas, petrochemical, paper printing, textile printing, machinery, electronic manufacturing, automobile manufacturing and other industrial fields.
Functional characteristics
Communication interface:
PRT1: Designed to connect BAS modules to user devices, supports a variety of baud rates (300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600 and 19200) in full-duplex mode and can be configured in RS-232, RS-423/422, RS-485 mode.
PRT2: can also be used to connect user devices, support DF1 protocol connection modem, and support RS-232/423, RS-422/485 communication mode, the baud rate is the same as PRT1.
DH485: is a non-isolated port for DH-485 networks. Use 1747-AIC to connect the port to DH-485 networks. Note that when PRT2 is configured as DF1 or used to connect to a modem, the DH485 communication port is disabled.
Data storage and Power:
The memory size is 24 KB with battery-powered RAM.
The power load function is 0.150 at 5 volts DC and 0.040 at 24 volts DC.
Data transmission and distance:
For SLC 5/01 and later processors, the standard data transfer rate is 8 input words and 8 output words.
The maximum communication distance is 1230 meters.

The user interface provides easy access to editor functions and has a programming environment.

Operating temperature range is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit).
